June 16th 2011: Hungarian Night

The Hungarian Canadian Chamber of Commerce held a Hungarian themed networking event for Hungarians and Canadians

At the networking gathering Tony showed the presentation "Hungary and the world today" so that chamber members could see what we have been introducing to the Hungarian government in order to persuade the to work closer together especially since the Hungarian government has minimal commercial representation in Canada. The chamber feels that there are many commercial opportunities for the SME sector.

Relative to the amount Canada and the USA have invested in Hungary, for some reason Hungary never took advantage of this special relationship. For example in the tourist industry only .7% of the yearly North American tourism visits Hungary which is relatively very little. A beautiful country such as Hungary should be able to draw many more tourists from North America. The key is to get Hungary known, with which the chamber feels could help.
