March 11th, 2013: HungaryLive!

The Hungarian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce is promoting the HungaryLive! initiative supporting Hungarian culture and language worldwide.

The Hungarian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce supporting Hungarians worldwide, is supporting the Hungarian based distance learning company, H-Net Language Centre (www.h-net.hu) and its initiative to introduce its new program, HungaryLive.

The objective is to increase and improve the understanding of Hungary today and its past, to Hungarians living abroad. H-Net through, TheLiveTeacher (TLT - www.TheLiveTeacher.com) will start the program HungaryLive this spring.

The project provides an effective solution to engage hungarian communities abroad to get more involved with Hungarian culture and commerce, strengthening the International Hungarian Network, involving second and third generation Hungarians. H-Net has developed an interactive, online communication and teaching system called TheLiveTeacher.com. Through its HungaryLive program (www.theliveteacher.com/hungary_live), it familiarizes hungarian heritage, history, culture, and our roots, including the hungarian language. The program will be available in both hungarian and english. The system utilizes Ustream (www.ustream.tv), a Hungarian internet technology used worldwide.

Hungarian organizations worldwide, especially churches, schools and scouts will play an important role in the success of this program because they represent the foundations of hungarian culture abroad. We hope that with the support of these organisations and you, the HungaryLive program will be accessible to Hungarians everywhere, and for those who would like to discover hungarian culture and its language.

In order to be able to make this program available for millions of hungarians living outside Hungary, the support of the hungarian government is essential. Our objective is to integrate this program into the government’s national political action plan and to gain support that makes the HungaryLive program a long term success used worldwide.

We would kindly like to ask you for your support regarding this initiative by filling out and signing the statement of support accessible at the and of this text. You can return it by regular post or as an attachment with your e-mail. Our mailing address: Hungarian Canadian Chamber of Commerce, C.P. 24 Station Westmount, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H4V 1Y8.

Please support us, to help get the support of the Hungarian government, to make the HungaryLive program a reality among all Hungarians worldwide. Creating a stronger Hungarian community and identity therefore making us a more effective international lobbying group, supporting Hungary, through a stronger and more coherent network.
